FILMING STARTS ON HIDDEN

Filming has begun in Budapest for Viaplay’s eight part drama Hidden: First Born (Hidden: Förstfödd), based on the novel by Filip Alexanderson, which stars August Wittgenstein (The Crown) and Izabella Scorupco (Goldeneye) in a tale of dark secrets and supernatural forces.

Law student Jonas (August Wittgenstein) is involved in a serious accident and from that moment on his life is turned upside down. It becomes clear that he is being hunted and is forced to escape into the shadows of Stockholm with his ex-girlfriend Rebecka (Josefin Ljungman).

Meanwhile, former police officer Viveca Eldh (Izabella Scorupco) is commissioned by a secret society to investigate a series of brutal ritualistic murders, which brings events from her past back to life. And as the story unfolds, Jonas and Eldh cross paths, leading them towards hidden secrets.

The cast also includes Pia Tjelta (Lykkeland) as Leander, one of the most dangerous warriors in the hidden world, alongside Simon J. Berger (Never Wipe Tears Without Gloves) and Anders Mossling (The Yard).

Filip Alexanderson said: “I’ve always been attracted to the other, that which hides beneath the surface of our everyday lives. What inspired me to write First Born was to create a mysterious thriller set in my own hometown. And now I get to experience how my fantasies take shape with amazing actors and dedicated people behind the camera.”

Hidden: First Born, directed by Jonathan Sjöberg (Black Lake), who co-wrote the series with Björn Paqualin (Occupied), will premiere on Viaplay towards the end of 2018, and air later on TV3 in Sweden.
